Analysis on the ProductionLayout and Concentration of the Chinese Chestnut Industry

Abstract： Chinese chestnut，as a traditional dominant economic forest tree species and a characteristic nut， holds significant economic and cultural values.Based on the chestnut yield data at the provincial level from 1999 to 2022，this paper employed ArcGIS software and the center of gravity theory to analyze the chestnut yield，productionconcentration degree，movement trajectoryof the production center of gravity，and standard deviation elipse in China，andtostudy the characteristicsof the changes in the production layout of Chinese chestnuts.The research findings showed that the production concentration degree of Chinese chestnuts was relatively high，and the major producing areaswere mainly concentrated in Hebei， Shandong，Henan，Hubei，

Liaoning and other provinces.Hebei province was the largest chestnut-producing province in China. Judging fromthe movement track of the production center，the production of Chinese chestnuts showed a trend of migrating first to the southwest and then to the northwest.The changes in the production layout of Chinese chestnuts had not only altered the geographical pattern of the Chinese chestnut industry，but also had a profound impact on the economic development of various regions.However，the Chinese chestnut industry was developing vigorouslyand occupied a large proportionin the world chestnut industry，it still faced some problems that need to be solved urgently.Therefore，this paper aimed to reveal theexisting problems by indepth analysis of thecurrent situation and industrial layout of the Chinese chestnut industry，and accordingly proposed targeted countermeasures and suggestions.
