Fertilization Status and Countermeasures of Facility Vegetable in Beijing Suburbs

Abstract:To investigate the fertilization practices,changing trends,and existing problems infacilityvegetable production in Beijing’ssuburbs,and to estimatethepotential for fertilizerreduction in facilityvegetable production,a total of 365 producers of 7 categories of vegetable crops in 12 suburbs were investigated by consulting statistical data,issuing questionnaires and filling in the fertilization survey system. The results showed that the amount of fertilizer used in facility vegetables decreasedcompared with that in 2O22.The average amount of organic fertilizer per 667 m2 was 2.45 t,which was 9.26% lower than that in 2022. The amount of chemical fertilizer nutrient was 31.16 kg/667 m²,which was 6.02% lower than that in 2022.In facility vegetable production,the total input cost of organic fertilizer and chemical fertilizer was about1 448.84 yuan/667 m2.There were some problems among facility vegetable growers in Beijing suburbs,such as unreasonable proportion of fertilizer nutrient input,less application of new functional fertilizer,and insufficient attention to mediumand trace element fertilizer.In view of the problems found in the survey,some suggestions were put forward,such as guiding farmers to invest in organic fertilizer reasonably and strengthening the upgrading of soil testing and formula fertilization technology,which provided a reference for improving the scientific fertilization level of facility vegetables in Beijing suburbs and reducing theamount of fertilizer used in facility vegetables.
