Cultivation Performance and Evaluation of Different Strawberry Varietiesin Artificial LightPlantFactories

Abstract:Plant factory isanew standardized planting model that breaks free from geographical and external environmental climate limitations.Through precise control ofartificial environments,itincreases plantbiomass, shortens maturation cycles,and improves planting efficiency and product quality.In order to screen suitable strawberry varieties for planting inartificial light plant factories,19strawberryvarieties were planted in the plantfactory,andtheir plant growth and agronomic traits werestatisticallyanalyzedandcomprehensively evaluatedusing a weighted scoring method. The results showed that the agronomic traits such as leaf width, leaf length and leaf area of‘Akihime’and‘Miaoxiang No.3’were superior.The plants grew well but had fewer inflorescences.‘Portola’and‘Tuscany’had strong proliferation and growth abilities. They had more inflorescences and the bestcomprehensive traits,making them more suitable for planting in artificial light plant factories.However,‘Sweet Charlie’and‘Delicious C’ had weaker growth.This study provided a basis for the selection of strawberryvarieties inartificial lightplant factoriesandareference forachieving high-quality year-round production of strawberries in plant factories.
