Abstract: To meet the wind resistant design requirements of complex building structures,a numerical wind tunnel cloud analysis platform for building structures based on OpenFOAM is constructed. Using numerical wind tunnel technology and integrating cloud computing resources with modern Web technology,three turbulence models are provided including standard k ε ,RNG k ε ,and SST k ω ,and a complete integrated process from model preprocessing and parameter configuration to automatic solution, real-time visualization of results,and automated output of reports is achieved.The platform can significantly shorten the project development cycle and reduce the economic costs. Three standard examples,including CAARC high-rise buildings,TTU low rise buildings,and Silsoe 6-meter cubes,are used for calculation verification. The results show that the proposed method can accurately simulate the wind pressure distribution characteristics and wind load shape coefficients of complex building surfaces.
