Process optimization and performance study of SiCf/SiC composite materials

Abstract:Inordertoimprove the mechanical propertiesofSiC/SiCcomposite materials,thisarticleuses CVI+PIPcomposite processtoprepare SiC/SiCcomposite materialsand studies theefectofcrossinking pyrolysis proess onthemechanical propertiesofSiC/SiCcomposite materials.Theresults indicate thatthecroslinking pyrolysisandatmospheric pressure sintering methods are suitablefor SiC/SiCcomposite materials.The mechanical properties of SiC/SiCcomposite materials are superiortothose ofSiC/SiCcomposite materialspreparedby vacuum sintering.Increasing thecroslinking pyrolysis process canimprovetheceramicyield,reducetheimpregnation-pyrolysisdensificationcycle,andtheporosityofSiC/SiCcomposite materialsprepared byatmospheric pressure sintering isrelativedreduced,andtheroomtemperature tensilesrrength and bending strength are improved.
