Abstract:With the rapid development of modern communication technology,the military's dependence on communication network has been increasing,which leads to the evolution of tactical internet. This paper discusses a tactical internet technology—barrage relay network (BRN),which solves the coverage and reliability problems of traditional communication network in complex environments by means of an innovative relay mechanism,and realises the self-organisation and self-healing capabilities of the network by means of an autonomous cooperative communication mechanism. BRN utilises autonomous cooperative communication mechanisms to achieve self-organisation and self-healing capabilities of the network,and optimises packet propagation paths through controlled barrage region (CBR) to reduce congestion and delay. The synchronous time division multiple access (TDMA) scheduling mechanism further ensures eficient use of time resources, and the cross-layer design of BRN enhances the adaptability and robustness of the network. However,BRNs face technical challenges such as dynamic management,time synchronisation,security,and resource alocation in practical deployment. This paper analyses these advantages and chalenges and provides insights into the future development of BRN.
