AbstractObectie]TexploretheftsofdiferentlightintensitsonteowthandphotosyteticchracteristisofStrobnthes labordeinodertoprovideeferenceforitsplicationasasdetolerantgroudcoverplantingardenstod]trobntheslabodei plantswere used as experimental materials,and different shading treatments (full light, 50% shading treatment, 70% shading treatment, 90% (204号 shadingtreatment)werecariedoutbymanuallybuildingshadingshedstostudytheefectsofdiferentshadingtreatmentsonStrobilantes labordeileafarealantheightgrowth,chlorophyllontent,andlightresponsecurve.ResultTheeafarea,chlorophylla,b,andtotal chlorophyll content Π(a+b) of Strobilanthes labordei showed anoverall upward trend with the increase of shading degree,and the diference was signficantcmparedithCKefeceiantighgothopadtCasotsigfcanteovallchooll/bas withtheicreasfsadngdeehligopesatiotandlghtturatioitoftroblntsbodeiaeaiellica tingstrongshadersstanceTesoeoftefourStroblnteslbodeigroupsispositivelycoelatedithtelightcompensationntad darkrespiratioate,andteaxiumnetpoosyteticateisoitivelycoelatedihthelightsaturationpoint.Coclusio]tro thes labordei is a shade tolerant ground cover plant that grows worst under full sunlight and best under 70% shading treatment.
