Abstract：【Objective】Toaddress theneedsofforestfirepreventionandsuppresion，anevaluationmethodwasdevelopedfor assessingthefire-protectionfunctionofforestroadnetworks.Themethodcharacterizesthespatialdistrbutionoffirefightingcapacity identifiesareaswithfunctionaldeficienciesndproposestargetedimprovementstrategies，terebysupportingsustaiableforst managementandmultifunctionaldevelopment.【Method】Basedongeographicinformationsystemtechnologyandmulti-criteria decision-makingmethds，thissudytakestheLutouexperimentalforestfarmastheesearcharea.Fromtechnical，onoicand environmentaldimensions，tenevauationindicatorsareelected，icludingoadnetworkdnsityndteproportioofigheel densityareas，road coverage，accessibilitytowater sources，proportionof roadswithin the 2km service area of firefighting facilities， mileage-basedbnefit，leagebasedcost，proportinofoutespasingtoughsloperestrctedeasteruduatioted areas，andNDV-restrictedaeas.Theanalytichierarchyprocessandentropyweightmethodareemployedtodeterminethesubjective andobjectiveweightsofinfuencingfactors，respectivelyandthecomprehensiveweightsarecalculatedusingtheweightedaverage method.Ontebasisofinicatoritealassgentandeightintegation，afre-protectiocapacityvaluationodelfoefost roadnetworkisonstructed【Result】verallf-protectiopefoaneoftforestoadnewrkisaluatedaseelwih particularlystrongpforaeitesorefingcessbiltndwatersourceavlablitysuigtatoteasaeie timelyassistanceintheventoflfre.Howeerisuentfefhtigcoverageisientifdineouthwesteado partsoftheforestfa，idicatingtheedfortagetedupgadesandimprovementstothoadetworkintseareas.【Cousio】A multi-dimensioalevauationindexsystemandmodelwasestablishedforthefire-protectionfunctionofforestoadnetwoksprovidesa theoreticalfoundtionfoaessngforestfreesponsecapacityndfersasytematicandsietficbasisforthequalityimpoent and upgrading of forest road networks.
