Research Progress on Fruit Quality and Evaluation of Sweet Cherry

Abstract:Sweet cherry is one of the most popular fruits in the world,appreciated by consumers for its color,aroma,and pleasant taste.Although considerable research has been conducted on the fruit quality of sweet cherry,a systematic method and evaluation system for assessing fruit quality have not yet been established. Currently,the evaluation of sweet cherry fruit quality mainly relies on key indicators such as fruit size,color,soluble solids content (SSC),and titratable acidity(TA).This paper reviews recent literature onsweet cherry fruit quality and evaluation methods and discusses future directions in fruit quality assessment. This review aims to provide a reference for the cultivation of new germplasm and the development of a comprehensive fruit quality evaluation system for sweet cherry.
