Analysis of Long - term Water -Logging Hazards in 58 Woody Garden Plants in Baoji

Abstract:Aftera rainstorm and mountain torrents in the urban area of Baoji,low-lying areas experienced (2 10~15 days of water accumulation. This study investigated water-logging damage to woody plants in parks, roadside greenbelts,residential areas,and institutional green spaces located in these flood-prone zones.Based on external growth responses,such as changes in leaves and branches,clasification criteria for water -logging tolerance levels of woody garden plants were established.Using these criteria,58 woody garden plant species were evaluated,clasified,and ranked according totheir tolerance.The characteristics and patterns of damage caused by 10~15 days of inundation were analyzed,and recommendations were made for post -flood restoration measures and for selecting and applying plant species in urban greening projects in flood -prone environments.
