Abstract: To explore the efects of NPK fertilizer combinations on the root characteristics of Leymus chinensis in sandy soil,root morphological indices were measured under 15 diffrent NPK fertilizer treatments.The results showed that root biomass was highest under the N5P8K8 treatment,while total rot length was greatest under N8P5K2 The total root volume was highest under N11P3K3 In addition,the total rot surface area,average root diameter,and rhizome dry weight of Leymus chinensis under the N5P3K3 treatment were significantly higher than those under other treatments.Overall,the root morphological characteristics of Leymus chinensis are most favorable under the N5P3 K3 fertilizer combination.
