Abstract：This paper focuses on ethnic music education in Chinese universities and explores its distinctive value and practical pathways for strengthening the consciousness of the Chinese national community.It examines the multifaceted contributions of ethnic music education in cultural inheritance，emotional cohesion，and values formation，while situating the discussion within the broader political and ideological framework.The study emphasizes the critical role of ethnic music education in fostering national unity and promoting ethnic solidarity.Building on this foundation，the paper proposes concrete implementation strategies from multiple dimensions，including curriculum system optimization，faculty development，practical activity integration，and the application of information technology.The goal is to provide both theoretical insight and practical guidance for enhancing the consciousness of the Chinese national community through ethnic music education in higher education institutions.
