Identification and Bioinformatics Analysis of Growth Regulating FactorGRFGeneFamily inRice

Abstract:Asa plant-specific transcription factor,growth regulatingfactor(GRF)plays an important rolein plant growth and development.ToidentifythemembersofthericeGRFgene family,proteinphysicochemical properties,sequence comparison,secondaryand tertiarystructureprediction,subcellularlocalisation,genestructure,cis-acting elements, chromosomallocalisation,evolutionary treeconstructionand covariance were analyzedusing the bioinformatics methods.The results showedthat12GRF genes were identified.Thelengthofrice GRFproteins was 211~456aa,the molecularweight was 22.3~49.3 kD,theisoelectric point was 4.7~9.85,and the subcelularlocalisation was mainly located inthenucleus.The rice GRF genes contained 2~5 exons,and the promoter elements were mainly relatedto hormone regulation,stress response and light response.12 GRF genes were unevenly distributed on chromosomes 2,3,4,6,7,11 and12.GRFgenes in rice werecloselyrelatedtomaize,andhadlowhomologywithtomatoandArabidopsis.There wereno tandemduplicationevents in the rice GRF genes,and large segmental duplications were the main expansion modes.Above results provided a theoretical basis for the in-depth study of rice GRF gene function.
