Relationship betweencollge students'online moral deviance behaviors and associated factors：a latent profileanalysis

【Abstract】 Objective To explore the latent categories ofcollege students'online moral deviance behaviors and their associated factors.Methods A total of 640 college students was surveyed using the Online Moral Deviance Behavior Questionnaire andthe Online Moral Emotion Questionnaire.Latent profile analysis （LPA）was employed to identify potential subtypes ofonline moral deviance behaviors.Binarylogistic regression was thenused to examine therelationships between these behavioral subtypes anddemographic variables，as wellas online moral emotions. Results ① Two distinct latent categories of online moral deviance behaviors were identified： a mild type （84.0% 0 and an active type （16.0%）. ② Compared with the mild type： males were significantlymore likelyto exhibit the active type （OR=1.97， P <0.05）;master's students showed significantly lower odds of the active type than undergraduates （ OR=0.18 ， P <0.05）;each unit increase in online shame and responsibility reduced the probability of exhibiting the active type to 74% and 24% ，respectively.Conclusion College students' online moral deviance behaviors can be classified into two distinct latent categories.Gender，education level，online responsibility，andonline shame effectively predict category membership.
