Abstract：This paper is to summarize the clinical experience of acupuncture for temporomandibular disorders based on dispersing Shaoyang theory.The temporomandibular disordersare caused by Shaoyang galblader and dysfunction of Shaoyang pivot mechanism and meridian qi，resulting in sluggish temporomandibular movement or pain. The time for acupuncture of“linggui bafa therapy”at Zulinqi（GB41）point ischosen based on dispersing Shaoyang theory and theexperience in acupoints combination，which unifies the time diferentiation and syndrome diferentiation，providing a new idea for the treatment of temporomandibular disorders with acupuncture.
