Prevention and Treatment of Type 2 Diabetes Melitus Based on Theory of "Shaoyang Governing the Pivot"

Abstract：As apivot who undertakes internaland external afairs，shaoyang is closely related to theriseand fall of the human body's qi movement，the distribution of body fluids，and the balance oforgan functions.The main causes andpathogenesis oftype2diabetes mellitusareqi movement blockage，internalobstructionof dampnessand heat，loss of yinandfluid，and deficiencyof viscerafunction.Acordingtothedevelopmentof thedisease，itcan bedivided into fourdifferent stages：depresson，heat，deficiency，and injury.If the shaoyang pivot is not favorable，itcanlead to abnormal qi movement，abnormalcirculationof body fluids，and dysfunctionof internalorgans.Under the guidanceof thetheoryof "shaoyang governing the pivot"，the purpose of preventing and treating type 2 diabetes melitus can be achieved byusing the methodofreconcilingshaoyang to regulatetheqimovementandbody fluid circulationand improve the function of viscera.
