Abstract： In preparation for infrastructure projects in the Lvliang Economic and Technological Development Zone，the Shanxi Provincial Institute ofArchaeology，incollaboration withthe Lvliang Cultural Relics Survey and Archaeological Prospecting Team，conducted excavations at the Fengyi Site in November 2023.A total of six caved houses dating to the Longshan period were uncovered. Due to topographic and agricultural reasons，only five dwelings remained，and most were incomplete.F6，located near asteep slope， was relatively wel-preservedand yielded ceramic，stone，boneartifacts，and deerantlers，including twelve fully or partially restored ceramic vessels. This excavation provides valuable evidence for understanding theresidential forms and setlement patterns of the early Longshan period in the Dongchuan River basin. It marks another significant discovery in recent years in the Dongchuan and Beichuan river valleys of the this region，reflecting a growing academic awareness in integrating infrastructure projects with research into the civilizational processes of the Sanchuan River valley in the heart of the Lvliang Mountains.
