From Painkiller to Floating Life: Social Reflection and Humanistic Exploration in Chen Cang's Works

Abstract:Chen Cang isawriter rooted inhis hometown,and his life trajectory isa journey from rural civilization to urban jungle.Thisprocessof crossing from the countryside to the world of reinforced concrete not onlyshaped his unique insights into lifeand society,but also gave himinsight into the shared emotions of many new urban groups. Chen Cang devoted himself to telling the story of entering the city, delicately outlining the unique social mirror reflected in the historical tideand the tide of the times.They have a deep atachment to their homeland that is difficult to let goof,but deepdown in their hearts,they persistently long for theacceptance and recognition of the city.They yearn for the countryside while escaping,but struggle hard to establish themselves in the city in difficulties.
