Abstract:To investigate the enantioselective behavior of penthiopyrad(PEN)enantiomers in cucumber, a hydroponic cucumber system was established to study the selective uptake, translocation and distribution of PEN in roots, stems, leaves and nutrient solution in this study. The results showed that the dissipation of PEN in nutrient solution of the treatment group(the nutrient solution containing pesticides and cultivating cucumber plant)was in accordance with the first-order kinetic equation, and was faster than that of the control group(the nutrient solution containing pesticides). The enantiomer fraction( EF) was between 0.49 and 0.51, indicating that there was no significant selectivity. PEN in the nutrient solution can be rapidly absorbed by cucumber roots and the root concentration factor were greater than 1⊥ ·kg-1 , with the peak value of 13.12L⋅kg-1 . The translocation factor was between 0.014 and 0.158, indicating that cucumber had a stronger ability of root enrichment and weak above-ground translocation ability. EF values in cucumber plants ranged from 0.50 to 0.59, which showed that the uptake and translocation of PEN had significant enantioselectivity. In summary, PEN enantiomers showed no enantioselectivity in nutrient solution but displayed significant enantioselectivity in cucumber plants, preferentially accumulating in roots with minimal upward translocation.
