Comparative Analysis of Advantages, Disadvantages, and Application Scenarios between Automotive Integrated Die-Casting and SteelAluminum Hybrid Structures

Abstract:To systematically compare the application characteristics of integrateddie casting and stee-aluminum hybrid structures in BIW lightweighting,acomprehensivestudy is conducted from multiple dimensions,including lightweighting efect,productioncost,maintenanceeconomy,and sustainabilitythrough technical principleanalysis, economicevaluation,and comparison of typical cases.The results show that integrated diecasting canachieve a relativelyhigh weightreductionrateandissuitable forlarge-scalemid-to-high-end new energyvehicle models,buit faces chalenges suchashighequipmentinvestment,highmaintenancecosts,andslowimprovementinyieldrate.The steel-aluminum hybridstructure,ontheotherhand,performsbeterintermsofcostcontrol,maintenanceconvenience, andmaturityof material recycling,and is more suitableforcost-sensitivevehicle modelsandmulti-material co一 productionscenarios.Theconclusion holds thattechnical selectionshould be basedon vehicle positioning,production and salesscale,anduser needs.In the future,theresearch focus should be placedonheat-treatment-free materials, intelligent processes,and control technologies to break through the current development botlenecks.
