Abstract:To address the issue of cooling water leakage in resistance spot welding,this paperanalyzes the interfacebetween the electrodecapandthe electrodearm.Through microstructural analysisand hardnessgradient analysisof theadhesivematerialontheelectrodearm,itisfoundthatforcopperalloysofdiferentmaterialsunderthe combined action of electric fieldsand pressure,thecopper alloy with lower strength undergoes strengthening.This strengthening phenomenon leads to adverse effects in the application of automotive BIW welding.
