Abstract：Wood，asone of the earliest natural materialsutilized byhumans，is showing newvitality in the waveof sustainable development in the21stcentury.Asa greenand environmentally friendlyrenewableresource，wood holds a unique position inthe field of new energy.Solar driven interface water evaporation is a convenientand efficient strategy for desalination of seawater using solar energy. However，designing and manufacturing a reliable solar evaporatorthat can be applied in practice remains a challenge.In recent years，wood has played an important role in solardriven interfaceevaporation technologydue to its natural water transport channels and low thermalconductivity， demonstrating excellent development potential．Wood basedsolar driven interface water evaporation is a promising and environmentally friendly method forwaterdesalination，with thepotentialforpractical applications.It provides new insights into simple，low-cost，and eficient freshwater energy harvesting devices，and enables new utilization technologies for wood.
