Study on the Adhesion Properties of Wood Modified with Inorganic Reagents for Aspen and Camphor Pine Wood

Abstract:Taking aspen and camphor pine wood as the research object,the wood of aspen and camphor pine wood were impregnated with aluminum sulfate and sodium silicate respectively at room temperature and pressure.The carbonization heat treatmentof the impregnated woodof aspenand camphor pine wood was carredout with aflat vulcanizer,and the bonding process and properties ofthe inorganic impregnated modified wood of aspen and camphor pine wood were investigated.The results showed that:(1)within the scopeof this experiment,theoptimal bonding process parameters were as follows: the type of specimen was aspen the amount of glue was 240g/m2 ,the hot pressing temperature was 130‰ ,the hot pressing time was 60min , and the hot pressing pressure was 1.0MPa .(2)The bonding shear strengthof thetwo kinds of wood materials,impregnated woodand carbonized impregnated wood decreased in turn,indicating that the inorganic impregnation treatment and hotpresing carbonization treatment had an effect onthe bonding performance.(3)Within thescope of this test,the bonding performance of aspen is beter than thatof camphor pine wood,andthe bonding strength of the two kindsof woodbefore and after modification has reached the standard requirements of non Structural Glulam.
