Application of CAN Technology in Pickup - based Forest Fire Fighting Trucks

Abstract:The initialcontrolofforest firesisparticularlyimportant.At present,theelectricalcontrolsystemsof small four-wheel drive forest fire fighting trucks in Chinaare mostly composed of traditional electrical components with shortcomings such as complex wiring and instalation,high failure rates,and multiple operating steps.Controler Area Network(CAN)and PLC control technology features a good human-machine operation interface,easy operation,one-key control function,and safety protection functions.Based on this study,the integration technology, software development and combination method of CAN in forest fire fighting trucks were primary investigated and practiced.Resultsshowed that CAN technologycan be installedand used inthis type offirefighting truck,which not only improves the advancementand flexibilityoffirefighting truck communicationsystem,but also improves the convenience ofoperation,stability and accuracy of thecontrol system.It also greatly improves the performanceand operabilityof the forest water tank firetruck system,which playsan important rolein thecontrol systemand functional expansion of forest firefighting trucks and other special vehicles.
