Research on Heavy Load and Intelligent Technology of Railway Coal Hopper Car

Abstract： Chinese existing railway coal hopper cars generally adopt the traditional structure of inclined end walls，resulting in ineffective utilization of the space of car ends.At the same time，with the development of intellgent railway freight cars，existing coal hopper cars stillhave a lotof room for improvement in terms of power supply，inteligent surveilance，safety and environmental protection，etc. Therefore，by designing the body structure for new coal hopper cars and applying new technologies such as electric drive top cover and bottom door，locomotive power supply and on-board intelligent surveillance system，the loading capability， intellgence and automation degreeof the carcan be effectively improved.Based on theanalysis of the design and application of existing railway coal hopper carsand gondolas in China，this paper optimizes the design according to the existing problems and puts forward the design scheme of coal hopper cars with stronger loading capacity and larger train load.At the same time，the power supply and communication system of the car，on-board surveillance system，electric braking system，and electric botom door and top cover system are applied to effectively reduce the longitudinal impulse of long marshaling trains， improve the degree of intellgence and automation of cars，improve operation and maintenance eficiency，and promote the digital and intelligent development of Chinese railway freight equipment.
