【AbstractlObjective:Toexplore theappicationof3D-printedpersoalized titaniummesh inguidedboneregeneration(GBR)surgeryandtherepairoflveolarbonedefectsusingplatelet-rchfibrin(PRF)/BioOsscomposites.Methods:Atotalof68patientswithalveolarbonedefects whounderwentGBRbone augmentationsurgeryatDepartmentofOraland Maxillfacial Surgery,GansuProvincialHospitalofTraditionalChinese MedicinebetweenMarch2O21andFebruary2O24 wereenroledinthestudyandrandomlyassigned to either the 3D group( n =34)or the traditional group( n =34).The 3D group was treated with 3D-printed personalized titaniummeshandPRF/Bio-Osscomposites,whilethetraditional groupreceivedconventionaltitaniummeshandPRF/Bio-Osscomposites.Theincreases inheight,width,volumeof alveolarboneandtheincidenceofcomplicationsat2,4and6monthspostoperativelywerecomparedbetwenthetwogroups.Results:Theincreassinhightandwidthofalveolarboeat2,4,and6monthspostoprativelynthe3Dgroup werehigher than thoseinthetraditional group,butthediffrences werenot statisticallysignificant( P>0.05 ). Theincreasesinalveolarbonevolumeat2and4monthspostoperativelyinthe3Dgroupwerehigherthanthoseinthetraditionalgroup,utthe differenceswere not statisticallysignificant( P>0.05) .At6monthspostoperatively,the increaseinalveolarbonevolumewassignificantlyhigher than that inthe traditional group( P<0.05 ).The proportions of early exposure,late exposure,total exposure,and wound infectioninthe3Dgroupwereallowerthanthoseinthetraditional group,utthediferences werenotstatisticallysigiicant( P>0.05 ).Conclusion ∵ The GBR surgery using 3D-printed personalized titanium mesh and PRF/Bio-Oss composites demonstrated favorable outcomes in the repair of alveolar bone defects.At 6 months postoperatively,thisapproach resulted in a significantly greater increase inalveolar bonevolume comparedto the use of conventional titanium mesh in GBR surgery,without compromising safety.These findings support its potential for broader clinical application and promotion.
