【Abstract】Objective：To investigate the effect of thyroid hormone receptor- β （THR- β ）agonist on chronic renal fibrosis in 5/6 （ nephrectomizedrats.Methods：Aratmodelof5/6nephrectomywasestablishedandtheratsweredividedintocontrolgroupandHR（ β agonist-treatedexperimentalgroup，with6ratsineachgroup.Teratsinthecontrolgroupweregiveninraperitonalinjectinof 1 mL saline every day，while those in the experimental group were given intraperitoneal injection of 1mL THR- β agonist every day （2 1μg/（g⋅d）; both groups were treatedfor1Oconsecutiveweeks.Results：Comparedwiththecontrolgroup，theexperimentalgrouphad a significant improvement in serum creatinine at weeks 2-6 after 5/6 nephrectomy（ P<0.05 ），as well as a significant increase in body weight（ P <0.05）and significant reductions in blood lipids（ P<0.01 for triglycerides and P<0.001 for low-density lipoprotein） and bilirubin（ P
