Abstract： Based on the emerging features of scientific journals in the new era， this paper elaborates on the talent development achievements in China’s scientific journal sector： increasing policy support， improved formal education and professonal training mechanisms，enhanced talent quality，and optimized talent structure.It analyzes existing challenges：insufficient publishing professionals，imbalanced composition in roles and knowledge， mismatch between current capabilities and evolving demands，and suboptimal environments for recruitment，cultivation，and retention.Recommendations are proposed： optimizing training programs and innovating cultivation approaches； emphasizing the selection and recruitment of publishing talents；strengthening continuing education to facilitate workforce transformation；refining evaluation and incentive mechanisms；and fostering more favorable environments for talent development and retention.
