【Abstract】With the rapid development of nuclear medicine，radiotherapy has provided diagnostic and treatment approachesforvariousmalignant diseases.Approximately 70% ofcancerpatientsrequire radiotherapy.It isnoteworthythatif the tumor recurs afterradiotherapyor to evaluate theeffectivenessofradiotherapy，surgical specimens after radiotherapy need to be removed and sent to the pathology department for examination.Pathological specimens with radioactivitycan posea risk tothe health of pathology department staff.To better ensure a safe workingenvironmentinthepathology department，thisarticlediscussestherational disposal ofradioactive pathological specimens based on the management experience of the pathology department at Sun Yat-sen Memorial Hospital，Sun Yat-sen University.

放射性核素治疗是指通过放射性核素衰变产生的射线，作用于病灶部位，使其发生变性坏死，甲状腺癌是比较常见的一种内分泌肿瘤，针对某些甲状腺肿瘤患者，可利用甲状腺癌细胞摄取碘 131I 的特性，使癌变组织发生坏死，由于放射性治疗具有操作简便、无创性的特性，具有较好的效果，故被广泛应用于临床。（剩余5064字）
