Progress and Prospects of Ecological Sea-dikes in China

Abstract：Sea-dikes are important facilitiesforresisting typhoonand storm surge disasters，thereby safeguarding the stable development of theeconomyand societyin coastalareas of China andthe safetyof people's livesand property. Given the increasingly severe global climate change and marine ecological environment deterioration，theconstruction of ecologicalsea-dikes has become oneof the key measures forcoastal protectionandsustainable development in China. This article summarizes the experience of ecological sea-dike research at home and abroad，identifies the problems faced bythe ecological development ofsea-dikes，and provides typical practicesand developmentsuggestions for the current ecologicaldevelopmentofsea-dikes，inorder toprovidereference fortheecological developmentofsea-dikes in China.
