Research on aviation application validation of domestic aramid honeycomb

Abstract:To ensure the reliable applicationofcomposite honeycomb sandwich structures inaviation,this studyconducted a comparative performance evaluation offour types of domestic aramid paper honeycombs,one domestic aluminum honeycomb,andone imported glass fabric honeycomb.The tests icluded compresive strength,flatwise shear,water migration, andflammability.Analysisof thecomprehensivepropertiesofdiferenthoneycombsrevealedthatthe1.83-48specification aramidpaperhoneycombdemonstrates themostbalancedperformance,makingitbettersuitedforthemanufacturingofcomposite sandwich structures in aircraft.
