Cold Chain Standardization Empowers Food Safety: A Two-pronged Approach with Both Soft and Hard Measures

Abstract

Cold chain logisticsis a professional logistics that uses temperature control, preservation and other technical processes and facites and equipment such as cold storage,refrigerated trucks,and refrigerated boxes to ensure that cold chain products are always kept in a specified temperature environment throughout the entire process of primary processing,storage,transportation,circulation processing,sales,and distribution. At present,the degree of standardizationof most enterprises in the domestic cold chain field is weak,and lean management stil needs to be improved.Problems such as insufficient attention to food safety and poor connection between upstream and downstream supply chains stillexist. Promoting standardization and process-based management in the cold chain field isan important measure toensure food safety.Starting from the basic value of cold chain standardization,this article systematicaly explores key "soft"and "hard" issues such as practical exploration incold chain standardization,providing a reference for promoting the modernization of food safety governance.
