Research on Hegel's recognition ethics restrictions for human enhancement technologies

Abstract： Human enhancement technologies intervene in the current human body，inteligence，emotions， morality，and other aspects through emerging technologies，especially biotechnology，so as to enhance human health and capabilities across multiple dimensions such as physiology and psychology.While ofering infinite opportunities to humanity，it also poses unprecedented challenges to social ethics. Hegel’s philosophy can provide defense，guidance，and constraints for human enhancement technologies through“recognition ethics.” The“recognition desire” explains that the emergence and development of human enhancement technologies stem from the internal and external recognition needs of technology researchers and users，thereby providing a basis for the existence of human enhancement technologies. The“universal recognition”emphasizes realizing individual freedom and establishing a virtuous social orderin the return of individuals to entity，thus guiding the value orientation of human enhancement technologies.The“recognition dialectic”regards“recognition”as the essence and basis of normalization at the behavioral level，serving to restrict the specific application of human enhancement technologies.
