Abstract:In the wood processing industry,raw materialsare often mixed with foreign objects like iron nailsand metalshavings.If notdetected inatimely manner,these impuritieswillnotonlyseverelywear precision cuting tools and equipment but also trigger mechanical failures or even full-line shutdown,resulting in economic loses.To address these issues,an on-line metal impurity detection system suitable for wood processng was developed.Based on the principle of eddycurrent induction,the detection probe adopts a symmetric differential coil layout,and the induction signalsareprocessdbyadiffrentialamplification circuit,ultimatelyoutputingavoltage signal thathas a strictcorresponding relationship with themagnetic flux disturbed by metal impurities.Through the optimizationof system parameters and analysis of signalcharacteristics,the sensitivityand accuracyof metal identification have been significantly improved.This system provides technical support for quality control in wood processing and has certain engineering application value.
