Structural Design and Experimental Analysis of Key Components of Mountain Monorail Transport Vehicles

Abstract:Focusing on the structuralconfiguration of mountain monorail transportvehicles,thispaper investigates and models the keycomponents that influence the transport capacityof mountain rail transport machinery.It posits thatthe material,specifications,and structural design of key component such as tracks,columns,and conectors are the primaryfactors influencing theunit's transport capacity.The greater the bending and shear resistance of these key components,or the larger the geometric size and wall thicknessof these components (i.e.,the larger the moment of inertia),the higher the unit's load -- carrying capacity. The installation quality of the columns also significantly affects the load-bearing capacityof the track,wherein the instalation spacing of the columns should match thatof the load-bearing wheel setsof the cargo boxand must not exceed it;additionally,the instalation spacing should beevenly distributed.Theanti-setling foundation at the lower endof thecolumns mustbe solid,and the stress-bearing area of the concrete foundation should be able to withstand a pressure 1.5 times the maximum load of the unit.This ensures that the columns do not setle when theunit passes,thereby enhancing the track's resistance to bending deformation,increasing theunit'srated load,and improving itssingle-transportcapacity.Experimental verification inthis study shows that when the column material is Q235(with an outer diameter of φ26.75 mm and a wall thickness of 2.75mm ),the maximum total mass of the cargo box should not exceed 600kg .Exceeding this limitcan lead to bending deformation of the columns,interference between the guide wheelsand the columns,and increasedfrictionwith the track—allofwhich willshorten theservice lifeof thetrack.Thisresearch providesatheoretical reference for manufacturers‘product R&D,as wellas technical guidance for users to operate the equipment correctly and safely,and for decision-makers to promote its application.
