Abstract:Automation technology with industrialrobots as themaincarrer isan important engine torealizethehigh-quality developmentofChina's manufacturingidustry.Tis paperintroduces diferent skillaborclassfications intothetask modelonthe basis of AcemogluandRestrepo(018a)anddeducesthatindustrialrobotapplicatiocanimprovethetotalfactorproductiityof enterprises troughautomationexpansionandnewjobcreation.Attheempiricallevel,thispaperselectsA-sharemanufacturing companies listedin2O11-2021asaresearchsample toempiricallyexaminetheimpactof industrialrobotapplicationonenterprise totalfactorproductivityandthemechanismofitsrole,andtheresultsshowthatrobotaplicationcanenterprisetotalfactor productivityandplaysafacilitatingrolemainlytroughthemechanismofautomationexpansionandnewjobcreation.Further heterogeneityanalysisrevealsthatthepositive impactofrobotapplicationontotalfactorproductivityofcapitaland technology-intensienterpsesadnostate-owedenterprisesismoresigicant.Terefore,enterpsessouldtaketeiiiatie toseizethepporusofutoatiditellgnttasftiogateteligntuactugiteodu, and improve enterprise total factor productivity.
