The detection rate of nutritional risk in patients with stroke in China:a Meta-analysis

Abstract Objective:The systematic review and Meta-analysis were conducted on the detection rate of nutritional risk in stroke patients in China.Methods:Computer search and retrieval of CNKI,VIP,WanFang Database,CBM,PubMed,EMbase,and Web of Science were conducted to collect cross-sectional studies on the nutritional risk detection rate of stroke patients in China.The retrieval time was from theinception to April 30,2023.Two researchers independently screened the literature,extracted data,and evaluated the risk of bias included in the study,using Stata 15.1 software for Meta-analysis.Results:A total of 35 cross-sectional studies were included,including 9 616 stroke patients,of which 3 975 were at nutritional risk.The overall detection rate of nutritional risk in Chinese stroke patients was 42.5%(95%CI 37.7%-47.4%).The results of subgroup analysis showed that the detection rates of nutritional risk in male and female stroke patients were 50.0% and 53.2%,respectively;the detection rates of nutritional risk in stroke patients under 60 years old,60 years old and above were 27.4% and 47.7%,respectively;in terms of stroke types,the detection rates of nutritional risk in patients with ischemic stroke and hemorrhagic stroke were 50.1% and 52.1%,respectively;the detection rate of nutritional risk in first-time stroke patients(45.1%) was lower than that in patients with a history of stroke(57.2%);the detection rate of nutritional risk in stroke patients with concomitant dysphagia was 60.5%,which was higher than that in stroke patients without concomitant dysphagia(34.9%);the incidence rates of nutritional risk in stroke patients were 45.3%,23.3%,41.3%,and 42.3%,respectively,using nutritional risk screening 2002,micro nutritional assessment,micro nutritional assessment precision method,and malnutrition universal screening tool.Conclusion:The detection rate of nutritional risk in stroke patients in China is relatively high,and there are differences in the detection rate of nutritional risk among different subgroups of stroke patients.
