Abstract The IFLA Trends Report （2O24 Edition）providesa forward-looking framework for the futuredevelopmentof globallibrarianship.This paper interprets thereport’skeytrendsacrossfourdimensions：the knowledgeand information ecosystem，digital inclusionandsustainable development，digital skillsandcompetencies，community engagementand information equity.Building on this analysis，the study examines the achievements and challenges faced by libraries worldwidein thedigitalera.Basedonthisanalysis，thereportprovides thefolowinginsightsforthedevelopmentof Chinese libraries： building asmart knowledge ecosystemand improving data governance systems; promoting social knowledge equity while implementing sustainable development concepts; establishing a comprehensive learning support system to enhance digital literacy; and fostering acultural innovationcommunity to advance communitycultural prosperity.
