Research on the Effectiveness of Online Information Relief in Uncertain Environments

AbstractExploring theevaluation methods and influencing factors of the effectiveness ofonline informationrelief in uncertainenvironments hasimportanttheoreticalandpractical significance forgovernments，relevantinstitutions，and media toimprove thequalityof informationrelief.Aiming attheuncertain environment caused bypublic events，based on the social supporttheory，this study divides theonline informationof therainstorm event in Hebei Provinceinto two dimensions： social supportdemandand social support supply.Basedon the definitionof information relief，the social supportsupply informationisregardedasrelief information.Basedontheuncertaintyreduction theory，weconstructanevaluationsystem for theefectivenessofonline informationrelieffromthe passive，active and interactive dimensions of uncertainty reductionstrategies.Then，basedonthe heuristicsystem model，aregresionpredictionmodelanda SHAPmodelareconstructedtorevealtheimportantfactorsafectingtheeffectivenessofonlineinformationrelief.Itisfound that significant differences existin the effctivenessof informationrelief across diffrent lifecyclesand theme types.The overall scores forthe effectiveness of informationrelief during theoutbreak and spread periods wererelativelyhigh， while the situational information during the incubationperiod，rescue information during the outbreak perid，recommendationinformationforthespreadperiod，andemotionalinformationduringtherecoveryperiodscorehigherforteeffectiveness ofrelief intheirrespective stages.The influence and timeliness ofpublishers have significant positive influence ontheeffectiveness ofinformationrelief，while theemotionof information is negativelycorrelatedwith the effectiveness of information relief.
