Abstract：Although computational social science has advanced thedevelopment of computational communication research，thedilemmaofitsinherentlyinsuffiientdefinitionallogicintheoryalsoaects theprogressofcomputational communicationresearch.Toaddressthis issue，this paper reviews the computational communicationresearchin China inthe pastdecade，analyzes theresearch trendsofcomputational communicationresearch intermsof computational methods，computational communication practices，and theoretical logic.This study points out that computational communicationstillfaces dilemmas initsown theoreticaldevelopment，the black-boxproblemof algorithms，and talentcultivation.Finaly，thisreviewargues thatcomputationalcommunicationresearchisrootedinthecomputational communicationpractices inreal life.Whenrecommendationalgorithms，socialrobots，virtualanchors，largelanguage models，agents，and humanoid robots dominate the humancommunication processthrough computationalcommunication， the non-human actors conceptualized by Bruno Latour are becoming the foundationof computational communication research.According to Latour's theoryof science studies，the path of theoretical construction of computational communication research begins at the computational center.
