Rotor dynamics analysis of squeeze oil film damper for high speed permanent magnet motor

Abstract : When the high-speed permanent magnet motor is close to the critical speed,the rotor vibration amplitude increases significantly,which will lead to rotor fatigue damage and even friction between the stator and rotor.To this end,a certain type of high-speed permanent magnet motor rotor was selected, the extruded oil film damper was designed according to the parameters of the high-speed permanent magnet motor rotor,and five parameters of the extruded oil film damper,such as oil film bearing length,oil film radius,clearance,eccentricity,and lubricating oil viscosity,were determined according to the oil film theory,and the finite element model of the extruded oil film damper was established.The influence of the oil film stiffness coefficient was analyzed,and the change trend of the four dynamic parameters of the maximum oil film pressure,oil film reaction force,oil film damping coeffcient and oil film stifness coeffcient was analyzed,and the principle of selecting the parameters of the extruded oil film damper was given,which provides a basis for selection of the extruded oil film damper applied in high-speed perma nentmagnet motors.
