Abstract：To know well the bird diversity in Sichuan Mabian Dafengding National Nature Reserve，we conducted the line transect method in bird survey and the infrared camera monitoring in the reserve from January 2016 to June 2024.A total of 257 bird species were recorded.Among them，54 species of birds were firstly recorded.Combined with historical data，there are 328 species of birds in the reserve.The bird species in the reserve are dominated by Passeriformes，with 23O species.There are 6 national first-class key protected animal species and 59 second-class key protected animal species.17 species are endemic to China，and 3 species are IUCN Red List endangered species.The birds in the reserve are mainly composed of breeding birds，with a total proportion of 84.75% being resident and summer migrant birds.The birds in the reserve are mainly distributed in Oriental Realm and Himalaya-Hengduan Mountain.The fauna is characterized by the interpenetration of Palearctic and Oriental birds，predominated by the Oriental type，more characterized of southern bird species.
