Abstract:To investigate the effects of supplementing crystalline methionine or coated methionine in diets where enzymatically hydrolyzed wool powder replaces fishmeal on hepatic biochemical parameters in Micropterus salmoides ,three experimental groups were established: the control groups (Do) contained 49% fishmeal,the second group (Dl) partial replacement of fishmeal with enzymatically hydrolyzed wool powder+crystalline methionine ,and the third group (D5) partial replacement of fishmeal with enzymatically hydrolyzed wool powder + coated methionine. Results showed :compared to Do, the Dl group exhibited significantly reduced hepatic levels of total protein(TP),total antioxidant capacity(T-AOC),superoxide dismutase(SOD),and catalase(CAT)( P<0. 001 ),alongside significantly elevated triglyceride(TG)and malondialdehyde(MDA)levels( P<0, 01 ).Nosignificant differences were observed in total cholesterol(T-CHO),glucose(GLU),alkaline phosphatase(AKP), or acid phosphatase(ACP)( P>0.05 .Compared to D1,the D5 group demonstrates significantly increased TP,T-AOC,SOD,and CAT levels ( P<0.001 )with significantly decreased TG and MDA levels( P<0 . 01). Similarly,T- CHO,GLU,AKP,and ACP showed no significant changes ( P>0.05 . Conclusion,supplementation with coated methionine effectively alleviated oxidative stress and lipid metabolism disorders in Micropterus salmoides induced by partial replacement of fishmeal with enzymatically hydrolyzed wool powder.
