The Internal Logic and Pathways for Promoting Rural Revitalization through Rural Sports Events in the New Development Stage

Abstract： Against the backdrop of the new development stage， comprehensively advancing rural revitalization has become a key task in deepening reforms and promoting China’ s modernization. Rural development has always been a central issue in the country’s modernization process，and the report of the 2Oth National Congress of the Communist Party of China emphasized that accelerating comprehensive rural revitalization is essential to achieving Chinese - style modernization. Employing methods such as literature review， case analysis，and field investigation，this study explores the value，internal logic，and pathway choices through which sports events empower rural revitalization. As an important vehicle for promoting rural revitalization， sports events play a significant role in driving industrial， talent，cultural，and ecological revitalization. This study analyzes the functions of sports events across these dimensions and， drawing on typical cases， deepens the understanding of the current progress of rural revitalization. On the basis of elucidating the internal logic of how sports events facilitate rural revitalization， the study further synthesizes and refines key development pathways through a systematic analysis of representative sports events across the country.
