Yangpu District is an old industrial area in Shanghai，which has been gradually transformed from an old industrialarea with the advancement of urban renewal to vacate thesecondary industry and introduce the tertiary industry， andits section along the Huangpu River has also been renewed.This paper analyzes the success of Yangpu Riversiderenewal， and discusses the existing problems and putsforward suggestions for improvement based on field researchand analysis and using relevant theories of urban design.
