After reading Chang Bei's monographs and writings，I gradually come to understand her passion for lacquerart， her dedication to craft exploration， her meticulousresearch on museums at home and abroad， her distinctiveinterpretation for Xiu Shi Lu （Treatise on Lacquer Paintingand Decoration） and her whole-hearted commitment tointerdisciplinary academic research.
