Employing Spatial Analyst Kernel Density Analysis， thisstudy identified key observation zones of watermarkengraving techniques' cultural ecology in the YangtzeRiver Delta. Historical analysis revealed two-phasedesign evolution patterns of these techniques within  the region ，demonstrating athree-layer ontology-extension-environment trans formation in Shang hai under socio-environmental  influences. The evolutionarytrajectory inherently reflected intricate regional culturalinterconnections. This investigation provided  referentialinsights for clarifying traditional cultural origins betweenShanghai and o ther areas of the Yangtze River Delta.
