Case Study of Upgrading Sewage Treatment Systemin a General Hospital

Abstract:TheorigialsewagetreatmentfacilitiesoftehospitalinJangsuProvincehadinsuficienttreatmentcapacity,sotese agetreatmentsystemasupadedtomtthelatestenvironmentalrequirementsAfterthesecondarytreatmentprocessanddisinfection process comparison,the remodeling project adopted a combination of pretreatment + biological contact oxidation + sodium hypochlorite disinfection process for treatment,the design capacity of sewage treatment 1800m3/d .According to the test data after the completion of construction,chemical oxygen demand(COD)is 120mg/L ,biochemical oxygen demand( BOD5 )65 mg/L,suspended substances(SS) 36mg/L ,ammonia nitrogen 35mg/L , pH7.95 ,fecal coliform count <20 MPN/L,total residual chlorine 6.56mg/L ,petroleum 0.13 mg/L.Thewaterqualityisimprovedsignficantlyftertheupgrading,providingareferenceforthedesignofsimilarhospitalwastewater treatment project upgrading.
