Carbon Emission Accounting and Key Link Identification for Highway Construction based on LCA method

Abstract:Topromotethegreenandlow-carbondevelopmentofthehighwayindustry,thisarticleestablishesacarboneiion accountingmodelforhghwayonstructionbasedonthelifecyleassessmentmethod,andselectsatypicalhighwayprojectinNorth China to carry out carbon emission accounting.Research shows that the total carbon emissions of thisproject are 1.77×106tCO2e , with the bridge and culvert project having the highest carbon emissions (9.36×105tCO2e )and the highest carbon emission intensity (5.85×104tCO2e/km) .From the perspective of the project construction process,the material production stage is the main source of carbon emissions,accounting for 92.1% .Traceability analysis shows that there are significant differences in carbon emission key materials andmachineryamongdiferentunitprojectsandtargetedcontrolmeasuresshouldbeaken.Thisarticledeeplyanalyzstheeylinksof carbonemisionsintheprocessofhghayonstructionproposesectiveeergsavingndcarboneductionmeasuresndproides scientific basis and theoretical support for low-carbon highway construction.
