Abstract：Basedonthecurent studies，thispaperanalyzedthedevelopmentcharacteristicsofemergingcontaminantsinChina.It summarizedtheproges ireeingproects，stablisngeviromentalstandardsandpromotingpoltantpilotproetsestudy pointedoutthemainproblemsfacedbymonitoringnewpollutantsandputforwardedprospectsforfutureefortsinemergingcontaminant control.Facingshorageofetectioetods，tedanceetsofsrengdsesentofmeingotamiantsdio tal monitoringarestilaaearlysagewithusoUPLCS/M，HPLC，GCSandGC.Itispropoedtattheemeinga inantactionsinChinacanbepromotedbyreiforcingthdevelopmentofenviomentaloitoringsystems，xpandingmoitoinareas， and enhancing the quality control system for monitoring emerging contaminants.
